Earlier, the Indian education system used to only depend on the marks scored by the student in the exam in order to assess their capability. But in the year 2009, this process had changed. The national level education board – CBSE decided to remove the percentage system grading. Therefore, the new grading system started in India. The grading system was introduced in India so as to be on par with the international range of grades. Another reason being to reduce the pressure on the students regarding the marks and percentage. The marks which were allotted in the old system were directly focusing on the quantity.The new grading system focused mainly on the student’s ability to in understanding the concepts therefore, the grading system has become a very important thing for effective education system in India.
Reasons why the new grading system is highly recommended: Firstly, the grading system in India was highly needed to remove the increasing pressure on the students related to examination. The different categories involved in the grading system are:
- Internal assignments
- Classroom project
- Answering ability
- These all activities remove the monotony of the education style.
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) distance education programs are designed to provide flexibility and accessibility to individuals who are unable to attend traditional on-campus classes. While the overall structure and content of a distance education B.Ed program may vary

What is GPA?
GPA stands for Grade Point Average which is the standard technique of calculating students average according to time. A semester or a term it is calculated by dividing the average points scored by a student.
CGPA .CGPA full form is Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is a very important grading system noting the overall performance of a student in an academic year. The mean of GPA of the semester is first calculated and divided by the number of credits in both CGPA and GPA percentage is denoted by numeric value.
Types of grading scale
In India commonly Indian schools and colleges and Universities follow their own grading system following the GPA and CGPA system. Firstly, the marks obtained during a particular time are converted into percentage and four divisions of rank.
